Jenny Bucknall, slender and fiery, in her twenties, a woman of ideals, intolerant of injustice, still looking to carve a place for herself in the world. Eduardo Garcia is a successful businessman and has been selected as candidate for the next Parliamentary elections. Someone is sending Eduardo menacing letters. Jenny, inherits a share in La Finca Pedralama from a Spanish artist she has never met. Jenny’s psychological problems start when she sees the finca for the first time, and recognizes certain parts. Worse, there is a nude painting of her in the entrance hall. Eduardo, is also a beneficiary of the Will. Conflict erupts out of Eduardo’s single-minded resolve to preserve the finca for the Garcia family and Jenny’s equal determination not to give it up. She sees the finca as a chance of making something of her life. He sees her as a gold-digger. The contradiction of aggression and tranquility, of angry and obsessive feelings amid the calm surrounds of the beautiful Sierras, heightens the mood of Without Reproach Jenny finds herself struggling with Eduardo on several levels; her escalating attraction towards him, his promiscuous reputation, his belief that she may be involved with the threatening letters. Jenny tries to unearth what connects her to the mysterious finca, but there are always dark secrets. Her growing belief is that there is a conspiracy against her. The enigma spirals as her relationship with Eduardo develops.

Reader Review – ‘An extremely well planned and written novel of intrigue, passion and suspense. Once started- couldn’t put it down. Combines all the elements of a good novel with the writers obvious enjoyment of life and the result is well worth reading.’

But when she moves to the suburbs, she learns from Zen, the boy down the street, that she has no hope of fitting in at her new middle school unless she starts acting more “like a girl.” At first, Alice doesn’t mind that she isn’t just like Haley and Yvette, the school’s reigning princesses. Then she realizes that being different can set you apart…and being friends with someone like Zen can set you way apart. Why does being yourself have to be so complicated?

From Alice to Zen and Everyone in Between By Elizabeth Atkinson

‘Timeless story for Tweens,’ says one literature reviewer… “From Alice to Zen will capture the heart of any young teen-ager. It is very well written but still appropriate to their reading level. A marvelous holiday or birthday present. A gift that they will enjoy and probably share with their friends. Delightful addition to the tween genre.”

‘Funny, Totally Delightful Tween Novel’, gushes another reviewer… “As a parent it is really difficult these days to find something age appropriate for middle schoolers. FROM ALICE TO ZEN is absolutely wonderful and will appeal to tweens and adults alike! The main characters (especially Zen) are so likable and relatable. The story is funny, absorbing and truly uplifting — I highly recommend it to anyone between 9 and 12 years old.”

In 2007, black businessman, Tuey O’Tweety faced the brunt of the discrimination.

Can the game of golf resolve the issue?

Life becomes even more difficult for Tuey when the frustrations of harassment become a daily nuisance. Corrupt politicians, manipulated city hall employees, and hypocritical community leaders add to the unrelenting aggravation.

Through an odd connection Tuey lands with an eclectic group of golfing misfits. Daily visits to the golf course expose him to an unfamiliar slice of life. An unlikely player leads him down a seemingly innocent path. The world of black and the world of white become intertwined in a world of intricate fantasy.

Join head golf pro J Dub Schroeder and his brother Curt, as they open the clubhouse doors of Prairie Winds Golf Course to a man trying to find his way out of an impoverished situation. One by one a Catholic priest, greedy banker, local farmer, retired luxury car dealer, Japanese businessman, evangelistic preacher and college football referee weave their lives into Tuey’s plight. Explore the convoluted path through the fairways of Prairie Winds Golf Course that has become “Tuey’s Course.”

I’ll be posting a trailer to the next golf story in a couple of days and then the third golf story to complete the three book golf literature set. Each has its own golf story but the literature books share some golf characters.

The sole survivor and narrator is a Western trained academic who initially struggled to accept realities that ultimately changed every aspect of her life. Weaving personal, historical and mythic perspectives, Dr. Betty Kovacs shows us that such individual experiences along with cutting-edge scientific research support a radical change in the way we think about death–and life.

The Miracle of Death by Betty J. Kovacs, Ph.D.

According to one rave literature reviewer – ‘There is a unique blend of western and nonwestern concepts in this book. Dr. Kovacs often reflects on the concepts of Carl Jung yet she also utilizes the Native American Medicine Wheel, Celtic Spirituality and Ancient Egyptian concepts systems. Dr. Kovacs creates a fused modality of symbolic analysis, earth celebration and ritual; the outcome concepts inspire miracle personal healing and global transformation.’

Another reviewer says – ‘Dr. Kovacs weaves emotion into the literature pages that will leave you gripping the literature book, refusing to put it down. I finished it in one sitting and was left with some new insights into the concepts of life, death and the relationships between the two.’
