After Joseph “Skip” Skibinski passed away, an historical war literature goldmine was discovered in his attic. Seven years worth of war letters home dating back to World War II from Skibinski to his future bride were found. This compilation of war letters and war cables reveals a true story of love, hope, despair, and transformation of a young man serving overseas during World War II.

More than an account of war, Softside is a story told in war literature of love and patriotism told in the war literature words of a WWII Marauder.
