Self-published autobiography of mid life crisis

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

A mid-life crisis is a period of life change and a time for self-examination. Sometimes a person asks the wrong questions or sees the wrong people for advice. Journey with this self-published author in his autobiography of the long trip between mayor and fool.

From Mayor To Fool: The Psyography Of A Middle Class Man

From Mayor To Fool is an autobiography of transcribed conversations that took place in Spring 2008, between the Author (Tim Mayeur), his parents, his close friends, two Tarot Card Readers, a Psychic Medium and a Hypnotherapist. this self-published autobiography is a journey where you get to follow the Author in mid-life crisis as he transforms and comes to terms with his mid-life, the loss of his sister, struggles with what it means to be a Middle Class Man and evaluates his mid-life crisis in order to improve it.

There were no rehearsals and the Psychics were not given any information about Tim’s life prior to the meetings. Tim met them for the first time for these sessions. This is what happens when a nihilistic and skeptical man has a spiritual awakening. As a true story about the factors in one’s mid-life crisis, it can be overwhelming, looking at all the possibilities and probabilities but in the end, people need to trust their own intuitions and judgment of where they want to go in life. Change involves stress and risk. Are you ready for a mid-life Change?

Yellow & Green is an Autobiography About Agoraphobia and Angst

Marcy Chen is a self confessed agoraphobic and her Yellow & Green: Not an Autobiography of Marcy Chen sure does seem like an angst filled autobiography of her living with Agoraphobia.

Leave Angst Behind

Leave Angst Behind

I looked up Agoraphobia and the description does show how much angst and anxiety an agoraphobic person must endure daily, when even the simplest tasks become a terrifying event. But don’t be satisfied with just a cold and clinical description of the condition of agoraphobia. Try walking a mile in an agoraphobic’s trembling shoes, or better still, experience an autobiographical year of angst with an agoraphobic in Yellow & Green: Not an Autobiography of Marcy Chen

(Unrelated and irrelevant note: I have to laugh sometimes at Google’s interpretation of ‘relevant’. Seemingly, my use of the keyword ‘autobiography’ equals ‘Auto parts’ and ‘Angst’ is an opportunity to publish ads in the German language.)

Yellow & Green – Not an Autobiography of Marcy Chen

Monday, July 27th, 2009

Twenty-five, Chinese-American, and agoraphobic, Marcy Chen navigates love, sex, gourmet food, family and a desperate fear of people and intimacy. Yellow & Green: Not an Autobiography of Marcy Chen covers a year in the life of Marcy Chen.

240-120a-v2“There are times, not many, when you simply must go out and be where there are people. These place are events in themselves and don’t cater to those who cannot be bothered to make the trip. In order to minimize the multitudes, there is one simple rule: Go when others won’t.”

Although Marcy Chen has entitled her Yellow & Green as ‘Not an Autobiography’, one can’t help but feel that the book Yellow & Green is ‘Autobiographical’ at least as much as all authors tend to pour their soul and potions of their lives into their books.
